Ducklings, New Fabric, and More....

Well, we have ducklings! They were brought home last friday afternoon, and are doing just great! Adorable little buggers. We dont know if they are male or female yet, but, we will be able to tell probably sometime next week. So, thier names are Rico, Twinkle, and Aflac (The last one I named, hehe). They are bonding with us very well. They all eat out of our hands already, dont mind being held, and will jump up to greet us when we walk by the brooder. Anyway, here is a picture of them:
So, for Mothers Day my husband got my a $100 gift card for Ben Franklin (Our local craft shop), so I went nuts! Bought a ton of fabulous fabrics, so I will have a bunch of new bags coming up soon. I am also going to be making barretts, and all kinds of goodies. I am hoping ot have my first set listed on Etsy by the end of the week. For those of you interested, my etsy is www.brattybabydesigns.etsy.com, so check it out when you get a chance. Well, I have a ton of stuff to get done this afternoon, so this is a short entry. Take care!

Our ever expanding, crazy household....

So, if 4 kids, 3 dogs, and a husband arent enough.... we will be adding three new family members to our household this week. My son Charlie, decided a few weeks back that he wanted to give

4-H a try, and he wanted to raise ducks. We figured the ducks will actually give us eggs, so this would be a good project for him as it would benefit us all. We found a wonderful lady that is going to give my son a trio (2 females and 1 male) of Muscovy ducklings for his project! Well, we got the word yesterday that the babies have hatched and we can get them any time this week! So, we are prepping the ducky nursery, and our enclosure getting ready for the new babies! I think I may actually be more excited than my son is to get these little ones. I have wanted a pet duck since I was about six or seven years old so, this is fun for me as well. I will post some pictures as soon as the little ones get here :)

So on the crafty side of life, I havent been able to do much lately. Gillian (one of my twins) has done nothing but cry for the past three days, so my craft time has been limited. I did manage to get three ATC's done last night which was nice. I like the way they turned out (They are the ones listed above). I posted them on my Flickr account this morning so we will see if anyone wants to swap for them. I have to catch up on some of my swap stuff. I think I only have a couple of small things that I have to make, everything else is just fabric and things like that that need to be sent. I will be doing that this afternoon. Hopefully my little one will chill out soon and I can get some new stuff made up. I have so much that needs to get completed so I can hopefully sell it on my etsy store soon.... *sigh*

Anyway, that is all for now... I will be sharing the new babies later in the week :)

Riah's Artsy Livin' - Genesis

Well, here I am...

I have been doing a lot of perusing online lately, and in my searches I almost always end up on someone's blog. So, I figured, why not give it a shot?!

So, like my 'About Me' section states, I am 28. I am an amatuer photographer, aspiring writer, wannabe artist, Domestic Goddess, and Supermom. Translation: I like to take pictures of cool stuff, I am in the process of writing a book that I would love to have published at some point, I am a very artsy/creative person who is trying to discover my 'niche' by trying out EVERY medium I can feesibly try, I am a stay at home mom who does it all, and I have 4 kiddos (My son who is 6, my daughter who is 2, and twin daughters who are 4 months old.).

I have recently discovered Swap-bot and it has really reawakened my creative side. Which is a great thing. The hard part is just trying to balance my artsy time with the 4 kids...and husband...and housework...and and and :) I just made my first ATC's recently, I have picked up on the Dotee Doll craze, my matchboxes are getting better (And more creative). I am just having a blast! I am also trying to dedicate some time to my book. I seem to have a problem with my brain wanting to get more out than my fingers can type, but, oh well, I will get it all down eventually.

So, I look forward to sharing my ongoing projects as they happen :) Until next time....
